Memorial Day Flag

Today is Memorial Day, a day we remember and honor men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.

A couple weeks ago, my husband, sister Myrna, and I enjoyed a day trip to the Palouse. Along the way, we spotted this barn in a small farming community. Ron asked the owner if he could take a picture, and the nice man graciously said, “Yes.”

Freedom, both on national and spiritual levels, is a precious gift. I thank God I live in a nation which values life and liberty. I am also beyond grateful for freedom that comes because of the redemptive work of Jesus.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery (Galatians 5:1 ESV).

Blessings on this Memorial Day,
