A Seasonal Reflection on Change - Part 2

If you missed Monday’s post, you might want to take a look. This week’s posts include Autumn photos from Ron, my husband, along with quotes from a blog post written by Nancie Carmichael, my childhood friend, and a highly respected author.

Last Friday, Ron and I attended the beautiful autumn wedding of a young woman we call our “granddaughter of the heart.” Getting married is a significant seasonal change that requires many adjustments!

Throughout our friend’s marriage, despite the many changes they will encounter, I pray a lifetime of happiness for this amazing young couple.

Change, whether welcomed or not always happens. Love and commitment held tightly allows each change to help us grow more fully into the woman or man God designed us to be.

“… what really matters … it is people.” And how best to love them with open hands and full hearts.”

“This season is also time to slow down and notice … or we will miss it …. Look for beauty in the present season …. Have the courage to put away the last season. A new season means it is time to do things differently …”

“Strengthen the things that matter …. Invest in the eternal. The best investments we can make are the ones that outlive us.”

Whatever change you may be experiencing during the present season, I pray God will bless you,
